If you’re new to internet marketing then I am sure you’ve heard that 95% of people starting out fail, not exactly the most encouraging statistics. In the midst of the endless ocean of noise that is the internet not many people realize that all the techniques and ‘hacks’ you can find are useless if you don’t understand what business model makes the most sense for your business or how you are going to make money on the internet. The best internet marketing techniques won’t work if you don’t understand how to apply it to your business. With all that said, there are plenty of highly accessible ways to make money online and they still work in 2015. Three of the most accessible business models are:
1. Affiliate Marketing This is arguably the most popular method out there and definitely the most accessible one as affiliate marketing provides a good start for newbies. Just about anyone can sign up for an affiliate program (most of which are free) and start promoting the chosen product or service. Someone buys or participates in the program promoted with your link and bam, your commissions start rolling in. No risk involved on your part as you don’t’ need to worry about paying for product creation, handling customer service, internet transactions, autoresponders, etc. It’s also possible to be an affiliate without ever owning a website. Some affiliate marketing programs require little up-front investment and like I said earlier most are outright free. No surprise then that just about everyone promotes some type of affiliate program, it’s a win-win for the consumer (a valuable product) and you (a bigger bank account). If there is any reason why the internet is so proliferated with ads and banners, it’s due to affiliate programs. Now affiliate marketing is no stroll to easy street; with the millions out there involved in affiliate marketing, only about 5% ever make any money and less than makes the big bucks. Big name affiliate marketers do it different from the rest and have established years of credibility, many making a name for themselves before widespread internet adoption. Make no mistake however, you absolutely CAN make good money being an affiliate marketer and I mean good money which means focusing on minimizing your odds of failure and launching a clear, highly focused campaign. 2. Writing an eBook or other type of information product This is a great method because there are thousands of possibilities for the type of product you can create and niches you can cover as there are an abundance of niche markets you can write about. From making money online by blogging, starting your own software business, selling your homemade blankets and much more; there are endless topics to write about, some of which may not have been explored by online marketers. You don’t have to write the information yourself, you can grab a ghost writer or hire someone to produce the audio for your info product. Product authors need to invest more than affiliate marketers. Affiliates can get something for nothing, but for the eBook type of business authors need to learn about more things and spend some money to get the business going. When done right however, the payoff can be pretty big. Marketers here make great money because of the very low production and maintenance costs. Once the product is made, it doesn’t cost a dime to reproduce thousands of copies (because it’s digital of course!). Start-up costs can be covered quickly or just selling a few copies of high-margin eBooks. On top of all of that you can recruit affiliate marketers to do the selling for you. 3. Adsense I think it goes without saying that when it comes to making money online, there is no strategy more popular than the good old Google adsense. There are tons of testimonials from people making outrageous income from adsense. Adsense is Google’s advertising program wherein webmasters display ads from Google’s extensive list of advertisers. Unobtrusive text-based ads are served in member sites, who then earn a commission every time someone clicks on the advertisers’ links. Google Adsense uses a technology to deliver ads that are highly relevant to the content of a page. Google’s engine will scan through the content of the page to determine its topic, and will then serve ads that are relevant to the page’s content. Running Google Adsense is simple, first thing is to build a website full of content of your desired niche or topic, and then register in Google’s adsense program. Once (or if) you’re approved, you then paste a code in your page, and the ads start appearing immediately after you upload the changes to your server. Google is hush on how it shares the revenue per click with their partners, but how much you will earn per click depends on the topic and the product being advertised. Products with profit margins of $10 for the advertiser will most likely give you a smaller pay per click than a product with a $100 margin, simple math really. Similarly, ads with high conversion rates will normally give you higher payouts than less effective ads, since they can afford to pay more dollars per click, with a portion of that money going to you. These are the top 3 most popular online business models today. No matter which model you choose, make sure you understand the basics and do your homework, this always bears repeating. Stop buying courses or information that doesn’t make sense your business. Information overload can stop you before you even get started so set your plan straight and take action. If you have any additional experiences to share or if any of these methods proved very successful to you, then feel free to leave a comment. |
